1. Pick a simple song and learn the main melody line really well.

2. It can be the same song and listen in on the harmony part of the song. Try to isolate those notes and sing only that part. One helpful way to do it is pick a barbershop quartet song and learn the baritone, tenor, or bass part only and sing along to the track.

3. Have a friend sing the melody of your song and then try to sing the harmony line you just learned. If you’re having trouble singing the harmony line, try to just sing notes that sound good along with the melody line.
